ปรับปรุงระบบ QR หน้าเครื่องซักผ้า/เครื่องอบผ้า ให้ทำงานดีขึ้น โดยใช้ Cloudflare workers มาช่วยจัดการหลังบ้าน ก่อนส่งข้อมูลไปที่ server ที่เช่าไว้ที่มาเลเซีย แล้วไป activate การทำงานเครื่องซัก/เครื่องอบ บนระบบของ SQ
แล้วก็มีแก้ bugs อีกเล็กๆ น้อยๆ เช่น
– ระบบป้องกัน payment สำเร็จ แต่เครื่องไม่ทำงาน จากที่เมื่อก่อน fail rate อยู่ที่ราวๆ 5% ตอนนี้เหลือ 0% (knock wood)
– ระบบจอสัมผัสตอบสนองทันที (pre-emptive) เพื่อให้ผู้ใช้ไม่รูัสึกหน่วง หรือทำงานช้า
– ปรับขนาดจอให้เหมาะสม และเต็มจอมากขึ้น เพื่อเพิ่มปุ่มที่ 4
– แก้ปัญหา Cloudflare workers ทำงานผิดปกติ
– ฯลฯ
หลังๆ สังเกตว่าลูกค้าอยากเพิ่มเวลามากกว่าแค่ 6 หรือ 12 นาที เลยเพิ่มอีกตัวเลือกเป็น 4 ราคา (เพิ่มเวลาได้สูงสุด 18 นาที)
เพิ่งทำเสร็จเมื่อวาน ต้องรอดูว่า จะมีการใช้งานเพิ่มขึ้นมากน้อยแค่ไหน
ปล.จริงๆ ลูกค้าจะอบเพิ่มเวลาเอง ด้วยการหยอดเหรียญเพิ่มด้วยก็ได้ แต่ลูกค้าหลายคนยังไม่รู้ตรงนี้ เลยทำไว้หลายๆ แบบ

I’ve improved the QR payment system on the washers and dryers, using Cloudflare Workers to help handle the backend before sending the data to the server I rent in Malaysia, which then activates the washers and dryers through SQ’s system.
I’ve also fixed a few small bugs and made some other improvements:
– Added safeguards against payments succeeding without the machine starting. The failure rate used to be around 5%; now it’s down to 0% (knock on wood).
– Made the touchscreen respond immediately (pre-emptively), so it doesn’t feel laggy or slow to the user.
– Adjusted the layout to make better use of the screen and fit a fourth button.
– Fixed issues with Cloudflare Workers not behaving as expected.
– And a few other things.
Lately, I’ve noticed that customers want to add more than just 6 or 12 minutes, so I added another option, bringing the total to four price choices (with up to 18 extra minutes).
I only finished this yesterday, so I’ll have to wait and see how much usage increases.
P.S. Customers can actually extend the drying time themselves by adding more coins, too. But many don’t know about that yet, so I’ve provided several options.
